I am delighted to inform you that this week’s Time Magazine cover features AeroVironment’s DARPA-funded Nano Hummingbird, one of Time’s best innovations of 2011:
Earlier this week Popular Science Magazine published its “2011 Best of What’s New” edition featuring the Nano Hummingbird as the “Grand Award” winner for the security category:
This comes about a month after Popular Mechanics Magazine selected the Nano Hummingbird as one of its “Breakthrough” innovations of 2011.
A technology demonstrator, the Nano Hummingbird is the result of the same creativity, focus and persistence that has made AeroVironment a leader in unmanned aircraft systems and electric vehicle infrastructure. The Nano Hummingbird also serves as a good example of what we mean by “40 years of Human Power” in this, our 40th anniversary year.
