Energy and prosperity go hand in hand.
Strong economic growth and expanding populations are expected to drive up world energy consumption by 56 percent over the next 30 years. By 2040, China will consume more than twice as much energy as the U.S. by 2040, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
In order to meet the world’s thirst for energy—for everything from transportation to manufacturing to household electricity—we’ll need to develop a wide range of new energy sources. In the coming decades, the offshore market will play a huge role in helping met global energy needs. This will not only be in the form of more oil and gas, but also alternative energies such as wind, wave, tidal and solar.
At Offshore Energy Challenge, a new two-day conference and expo produced by Marine Log, we will examine the opportunities and challenges of developing these sources of energy.
As you can see from the brochure, experts from industry and government will examine policy, regulation, technology and operational challenges during a series of individual and panel presentations. There will also be plenty of network opportunities during breaks, luncheons and a cocktail reception..
We look forward to seeing you in Washington for this exciting event!
