Webinars for PDH Credit on Thursday July 22: Non-Destructive Testing

The Minnesota Concrete Council is hosting two free Webinars on Thursday, July 22, 2021. For each webinar, attendees will be awarded a certificate of attendance for one AIA CES LU or one professional development hour (PDH) by the Minnesota Concrete Council.

Larry Olson will be the presenter for the following topic at 10:30 am to 11:30 am CDT:
Non-Destructive Testing:
Advanced Technology and a Practical Review of How to Use it
As computing power become faster and smaller it leads to advances in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques for structural concrete condition assessment. We will explore some of the newest techniques in the market and discuss how they can be used on structures and construction projects. We will also review a practical approach to finding construction flaws such as honeycomb, void and cracking in new structures as well as scanning to map out corrosion damage in aging structures using many different Non-Destructive Testing techniques.
Alf Gardiner will be the presenter for the following topic at 9:00 am to 10:00 am CDT:
Non-Destructive Testing for Assessment of
Concrete Structures
We live in a constructed world and our lives and livelihoods are inextricably linked to the proper function of our infrastructure and machinery. For this to be safely possible, we must have confidence in the technologies we rely on. Nondestructive testing provides that confidence. To make smart choices, it’s important to have a sound understanding of the purpose, applications, requirements, and different methods of nondestructive testing. This presentation is intended to serve as an overview of various nondestructive testing applications as they are used in the field. (Equipment manufactured by Olson Instruments will be featured in this presentation.)
There is no charge to attend these webinars. Everyone is welcome!
