Security Through Education in Uganda

At Wordfence, we spend a lot of time thinking about how to secure WordPress websites. Occasionally, we have an opportunity to help secure individuals and communities in other ways.

We just completed a project to provide sustainable solar-powered light and electricity to a school campus in the remote Amolatar region of Uganda. The school has 250 current students and expects 600 more students over the coming years.

You can find an amazing video about this project on our blog, along with the full story and technical details of what we’ve managed to achieve in Amolatar, in partnership with Far Away Friends, a Denver based non-profit organization.

If you’re a Wordfence Premium customer, I’d like to personally thank you for your support. You have helped us enable education and improve security for a community in Uganda.
